OECD Forum side session 2023

Alongside the 2023 OECD Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector, the MSI Working Group on Responsible Purchasing Practices and Sustainable Terms of Trade Initiative (STTI) organised a side session titled Responsible Purchasing Practices: How can companies integrate responsible purchasing practices in their businesses?

The session shared learnings from the Common Framework for Responsible Purchasing Practices (CFRPP), the STTI White Paper and a community-based approach. The panel focused on how brands can revise their purchasing practices and the importance of the supplier voice in making these changes. The session demonstrates how to overcome the barriers brands are facing and highlights good practices in tackling these based on our learnings within the Learning and Implementation Community.

OECD Forum side session 2022

Alongside the 2022 OECD Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the Multi-Stakeholder-Initiatives Working Group on Responsible Purchasing Practices and the Sustainable Terms of Trade Initiative (STTI) organised a side session titled Creating a new Balance in Buyer-Supplier Relations.

The panel discussion focused on how buyer-supplier relationships can move towards a more equal partnership, what companies are doing towards this goal and what opportunities are seen from both the purchasing and supply perspectives.
